Redemption Q and A

Same Day Appointments Are Not Available!!!!
Please take a moment to review the Frequently Asked Questions below to help your appointment go smoothly!

  1. My vehicle just got repossessed. What do I do now?
If you are trying to redeem your vehicle, you will have to get in contact with your finance company and make arrangements with them. We do not dictate whether you get your vehicle back or how long it stays on our lot. If you are ONLY trying to retrieve your personal property, you do not need to contact your finance company.
  2. What forms of ID do you accept?
Valid state/government-issued identification.
  3. What type of payment do you accept?
Cash only.
  4. How do I get directions to your facility?
Once your appointment has been confirmed, the address will be sent to you via text message along with full instructions.
  5. I have the address to your facility; how do I get there?
We recommend using Google Maps for accurate directions.
  6. How long do appointments take?
On average, it takes 10 minutes to complete an appointment.
  7. How do I get my personal property back?
You must make an appointment to retrieve your personal property. You can do so by accepting the terms and conditions below. ***WALK-INS WILL NOT BE SEEN***
  8. Why are you touching my personal property?
Pursuant to OK, KS, and TX state law, we are legally obligated to complete an accurate inventory of such personal effects or property and securely store such property for up to 30 days.
  9. Why do I have to pay to get MY own personal property back?!
Please understand that there is a hard cost for us to inventory and store your personal property while it is in our possession. Depending on your finance company, you may or may not have to pay fees. You will be advised in writing when your appointment is confirmed.
  10. I am unable to make it to the appointment to pick up my personal property. May I send someone else in my place?
Yes, of course. To release the personal property to anyone not listed on the automobile registration, you must first call your finance company and have them send us a 3rd-party release with the name of the person picking up the property. Please note that some finance companies will not issue a 3rd party release. If they will not, then our hands are tied on the issue, and only the registered owner will be allowed to pick up the property.
  11. Why can't I take the property out of the vehicle myself?
While that would save us a lot of time and money, unfortunately, it is not possible. Aside from the liability of allowing people on our lot, we are required by the state to make an inventory of the belongings and store them so they are not in the auto.
  12. I paid my finance company, and a release has been sent to you. Why do I have to wait to get my vehicle back?
Please understand that we have a contractual obligation to your finance company to process your vehicle post-repossession thoroughly. This includes but is not limited to: a vehicle condition report, an inventory of all personal belongings in the vehicle, pictures, an inventory list of personal property, and a video inspection. Furthermore, your vehicle is very likely to be blocked in by other vehicles. We require at least 24 business hours' notice to properly process the vehicle and pull it to make it accessible for redemption.
  13. Are there any fees to get my personal belongings back?
There can be; every lienholder has different procedures and fees for personal property. Because there is a cost to us, there are fees. These fees are sometimes billed directly to the lienholder, but in other cases, the lienholder wants us to collect them from the property owner.
   14. How much do I have to pay to get my vehicle back?
Depending on your finance company, you may or may not have to pay fees to the recovery agency. We will text you any fees owed when your appointment is confirmed.
  15. How many days does my vehicle stay on your lot?
We do not control how long a vehicle stays on our lot. Your finance company determines when the vehicle will leave our lot.
  16. I have aftermarket products such as wheels on my vehicle or an amp/speaker. Can I retrieve them?
If your aftermarket product is attached (wired, bolted, glued, screwed, or attached in any way) to the vehicle, it stays on the vehicle, and it's considered to be part of the vehicle by the bank. If you wish to retrieve these items, you will need to contact your bank ahead of time and ask them to send us an additional release allowing you to specifically remove the item.
  17. Why are your business hours listed as Monday through Thursday from 8:00 - 4:00 PM, and 8:00 AM to 12 PM on Friday, but your appointment times are available differently?
We start and stop our appointment times to ensure we have enough time in the day to handle all our paperwork and process each vehicle. We understand this can be a huge inconvenience, but we must ensure this process is completed correctly and in full. Plus, that time might already be booked.
  18. I'm running late, will I lose my appointment?
If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, yes, you will be required to reschedule, as we have others in line that we must stay on time for. We will make every attempt to accommodate you.
  19. How did you open my vehicle without my key?
We use professional, manufacturer-recommended methods and tools to gain access to the vehicle. These are the same methods AAA uses when you call them about losing your keys.
  20. How long do I have to pick up my property before it is disposed of, and how do you dispose of important documents such as birth certificates and social security documents?
If the property is not redeemed after the 30 days, all documents are shredded, and hard property is destroyed via banking regulations methods.
  21. Why is some of my property missing?
All personal property (less all food, liquids, gels and aerosols deemed hazardous or unsound are disposed of to protect all stowed property) is stored in a secure area that is locked and monitored with security cameras.
  22. Can you mail me my personal property?
We do not mail personal property. Your property will have to be picked up at our location with a valid ID. You must make an appointment to retrieve your personal property. You can do so by accepting the terms and conditions below. ***WALK-INS WILL NOT BE SEEN***
  23. Can you deliver my vehicle and or private property back to me?
No, we do not offer that service. All redemptions must be completed by appointment at our yard with proper ID. ***WALK-INS WILL NOT BE SEEN***
  24. Where can I request a copy of the documentation I am signing?
Please reach out to your finance company for a copy of your signed documents. The documents are theirs, so they are the only ones who can supply you with a copy of the documents. We just get them signed.
  25. If I submit an appointment request after regular business hours or on the weekends, does that start my 24 hours required for scheduling?
No, it does not. We know this is an inconvenience, and we are empathetic to it, but we, like you and your employer, are governed by labor laws, and we are human and need our downtime just like you do. We try very hard to help everyone we can as fast as we can.
i.e., if you submit a request on Monday at 5:30 PM, the request will be considered received on Tuesday at 9 AM when our office opens. If you submit an appointment request on Friday at 4 PM, it will not be considered received until Monday at 9 AM, when our office opens.
  26. What are your office hours?
Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 4 PM, and Friday, 8 AM to 12 PM (noon).
  27. Why do you not offer same-day appointments?
We have to work through a process required by law and by our clients before releasing an auto, and this takes time. We already have a pre-booked day scheduled, and to properly take care of those already scheduled, we can't have interruptions. You would not like it if we interrupted your scheduled time, so we ask that you allow us to extend the same courtesy to others.
  28. What happens if I become belligerent, threatening in any way, verbal or physical, or threaten lawyers during my appointment?
We will immediately terminate the appointment. We understand and empathize that your auto was repossessed, which was a rough ordeal. We also understand that sometimes things don't go as they should, and we are here to help as best we can. But that does not mean issues cannot be handled respectfully and without being threatening. We did not repo your car; the finance company did. We are only the company that executes the decision that THEY made. We expect all debtors and patrons who come with them to act professionally and responsibly.
  29. What information will I need to request an appointment?
Last 6 digits of your VIN
Make, model, and year of the auto
Full name
Cell phone number
Email address
A suggested date and time you would like an appointment
  30. After I submit the REQUEST, what will happen next?
You will receive a text back with either a confirmation for your requested time and date, or if that is not available, an alternate time and date of the next appointment that we have available.
  31. When will I receive instructions and the address of the redemption location?
You will receive a text with full instructions, the address, and the fees owed by 7 PM the night before your appointment.
  32. Why is my submission a REQUEST and not a set appointment?
We have to verify that the time and date you requested is available, we have permission from the finance company to release the auto, verify that we have the correct and full paperwork from the finance company, handle the logistics of the auto and the personal property, and make sure it has completed all the processes required by your client and the state laws. We will do everything we can to accommodate your suggested date and time, but there are many factors involved, so we can't always guarantee it.
  33. Can I make appointments via phone?
No, sorry, to keep things organized, all appointment requests must go through our website.
